Dr. Liz
light iconI graduated from York University with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, and I was introduced to Naturopathic Medicine. In my second year I went to see my own Naturopathic Doctor. I had a fever for a year and no other doctor knew what to do. My ND focused on the basics to support my body, and my fever went away.

I was always drawn to becoming a doctor, but I had never figured out which type. After seeing my Naturopathic Doctor, I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I am passionate about alternative healthcare and the philosophy of treating the individual root cause. I work with your body to promote itself to heal. I whole-heartedly believe I am part of the greatest profession in the world. I studied at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where I was part of the first graduating class to receive a Doctorate in Naturopathy. I have practiced at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and the Sherbourne Health Center.

I practice Family Medicine but I specialized in Sports Medicine and Pain management. I have created programs that address weight management, hormonal balancing, anti-aging and cosmetics, Sports medicine, and Pain management. These programs give you a blueprint to our sessions together. These programs demonstrate my multifaceted treatment plans, and hopefully show that there isn’t a one size fits all approach. I believe there is an ND for everyone, and hopefully these programs can help you gauge if you think I am the ND for you.

I started a medical nutrition app called Medical Meals. It uses food as medicine. Clinical nutrition is applied to different medical conditions to effectively treat them. You are able to track your food intake, and this app will give you immediate feedback about your diet. It will be released in Fall 2017.

I grew up in the Aurora/Newmarket area playing rep soccer and doing competitive dance. This is where my passion for Sports Medicine and Pain Management began. I am still actively involved in sports and continue to play soccer and trampoline dodgeball. I am an avid runner and continue to dance.

light iconI have a dog named Frodo. He will start training soon to be a therapy dog, and eventually be in the clinic with me.
